It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown is the 36th prime-time animated TV special based on the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles 1000. Schulz. It originally aired on the CBS network on November 27, 1992.[1]
The plan is equanimous of diverse storylines from the comic strip.[two] It was the outset Christmas-themed Peanuts special since the inaugural A Charlie Brownish Christmas in 1965, though an episode of The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Testify featured a new Christmas vignette in 1985. The animation for the special was done by Wang Film Productions in Taiwan, making it the only Peanuts special to exist animated by an overseas studio rather than Bill Melendez Productions. This was the concluding "new" Peanuts animated special to air on CBS. The network cancelled all hereafter animated specials in 1990, fifty-fifty though they notwithstanding aired in re-runs until 2000.

- Peppermint Patty worries about her Christmas book report.
- Peppermint Patty and Marcie nourish a performance of Handel's Messiah. The following solar day at school, Peppermint Patty writes about the operation. Neither her nor Marcie know Handel's first name, and then Peppermint Patty credits the piece to "Joe Handel."
- Snoopy becomes a Santa on the street, Lucy and Sally beg to differ.
- Woodstock and his bird friends play chamber music inside a snowman's hat.
- Charlie Brown tries to explicate the true pregnant of Christmas to Sally, who is convinced that the true pregnant of Christmas is getting all y'all can become while the getting is adept when she is writing a letter to Santa, simply she tunes them out. She too writes to Mrs. Claus, Mary Christmas.
- Snoopy, Woodstock and his friends dance with the candy canes that were on Charlie Chocolate-brown's tree.
- Sally goes to Linus'due south business firm for the meaning of Christmas and complains to Linus most calling birds in "The Twelve Days of Christmas". Linus tells Sally well-nigh Albert Schweitzer and how he does non like Christmas presents because he hated to write give thanks-you notes. Emerge asks who Albert Schweitzer was.

Later, Harold (herald) Angel drops by to visit Charlie Brown, looking for Sally.

Music score [edit]
Rather than having a new musical score equanimous for It'due south Christmastime Again, Charlie Brownish, jazz composer Vince Guaraldi'due south musical scores were reused and performed by jazz pianist David Benoit. It was the first time Guaraldi'south music had been used in a Peanuts special since It's Arbor Day, Charlie Dark-brown (1976).[4]
Benoit previously had scored an episode of This Is America, Charlie Brown.

It'southward Christmastime Again, Charlie Brownish was start shown on CBS on November 27, 1992, and was the terminal Peanuts special to take its television premiere on that network. The show received a x.0 rating and was watched by about ix.3 meg households.[5]
The special no longer arrogance on American television receiver as both CBS and its successor "Peanuts" broadcaster, ABC, abandoned it in favor of other specials. In Canada, YTV nevertheless arrogance information technology every bit a standalone special as of 2012.
